The Day in the Life of Amie Jacobson

    Hi Everyone!  First of all thank you for taking the time to view my first web page.  Where start off in introducing myself to the World Wide Web?  I am originally from Billings, Montana.  I moved out to Iowa last December, some of you might wonder why I would move out to Iowa and leave Montana or some of you might not even care.  Well I moved out here when my boyfriend (now fiancé) got a job opportunity with the USDA.  Moving out to Iowa far away from home was a huge step for myself to do, I was leaving behind my family.  I have a very strong family bond with them and the thought of leaving them was very hard to think about.  I am an identical twin and also have two younger sisters.  My parents have been married for 22 years.  My mother has been an apartment manager for 21 years and my father has been working at his father's trucking company for 16 years.  

    After leaving my family last year I moved on to create a new life with my boyfriend.  On December 28th, 1999 is the day when I flew down to Iowa and in my wildest dreams I didn't expect the surprises I received upon arriving in my new home.  First of all when getting off the plane my boyfriend Brian handed me a gift and asked me to open it.  It was a set of keys, but what were the keys for?  He had bought a second car so I have a vehicle to get around in.  All I could think about is how amazing is this, he really wants me to be apart of his life here in Iowa and being so supportive.  Not only did he buy me a car but when we arrived at my new home he had another surprise for me.  He had painted MARRY ME on the christmas balls on the Christmas tree and when I was looking at them on the tree he was down on one knee asking me to marry him, it was so romantic.  Then he handed me this small box with a gorgeous diamond ring inside it.  What a way to start my new life in Iowa.  

    Well it has been a year and several months living here in Iowa and things are still wonderful and we are very happy with each other.  Some of you may think man doesn't she ever have anything bad happen to her or is her life that perfect?  Well yes things do go wrong but I choose to look at the more happier times in my life than the sad moments.  Brian and I have been extremely busy with planning our wedding which will be on June 8th, 2001.  I could go into detail about the wedding but I will save that for another web page, maybe.  

    As for me, I am looking forward right now to the wedding as well as graduating from Kirkwood this spring so I have many things to be thankful for.  I plan on continuing my education at another college that will have elementary education offered has a degree.  For Brian and I we are looking for jobs closer to home (Montana) since we both miss life out there and our families. 

   Some of my passions in life are skiing, shopping (only when I have money to spend!)  My favorite actresses are Julia Roberts and Meg Ryan.  My favorite t.v. actress is Jennifer Aniston and of course my favorite t.v. program to watch is Friends and also ER.
